Connections
Psalm 44:33 [ESV] You have made us the taunt off our neighbors, the derision and scorn of those around us.
Psalm 119:2 [ESV] Blessed are those whop keep his testimonies, who seek him with their whole heart.
I think that in all of us there is a quest for justice – for ourselves and for others. We want to live in a world where if we do good we will see the benefits of that, and if we or others do bad, then the consequences are there – although we maybe are all a little bit more lenient on ourselves as we know our intentions as well as our actions. yet, we live in a world where dreadful things happen to good people, and terrible people seem to prosper. How do we reconcile tis with a loving God who is in control of everything. Except he is not – He has made an exception for mankind and has permitted our free will. So we have to choose Him, choose to allow Him to live in us, and then choose to live the way He recommends. It’s actually our choice what sort of world we live in.
Reflections
Every day I have choices! To forgive, or not? To show grace or not? To cover over another’s mistakes with love, or not? To hold someone accountable, or not? To confront the reality of my choices, or not? To spend time with Jesus, or not?
And so many more choices – to eat that or not? Etc.
What or who do I allow to influence or inspire my choices – that will be the hallmark of my life.
Strength Coaches comments – The Deliberative talent in people shows up as the serious care they take in making decisions or choices. There frame of reference is vital.
