2 Kings 18:24
How can you repulse a single captain amongst the least of my master’s servants, even though you are depending on Egypt for chariots and horsemen?
Fear and intimidation focused only on the visible, tangible world, mixed with some truth and facts are the enemy’s tactics. The enemy’s strategy is to make you want to give up before you even start. The enemy’s strategy is to rob you of your faith in the unseen by pointing out all the problems in the seen world. If he can get your focus totally onto what you don’t like, what is not working, what is missing, or what is wrong – he has you captive to fear and forgetting your faith.
Everything the enemy has addressed here to Hezekiah and the people of Jerusalem is true – are verifiable facts – when they are depending on their own resources and strength.
That’s what happens to you and me when we start to focus on the problems – and they usually are, truly problems.
So what’s our plan?
Well – we acknowledge the facts – as faith is not based on denial – so yes we do have that illness, or yes our car is near the end of its life, or even yes our family is in disarray……the facts…..but we don’t DWELL there.
Ps 84 starts “how lovely is thy DWELLING place O Lord of hosts”.
It’s a rhetorical question really.
Let’s choose today to acknowledge the facts, and DWELL in faith – God is able, your God is able, all we need to access the throne room of heaven today and bring our petition, is faith.
Heb 11:6 “and without faith, it is impossible to please him [God], for whoever would draw near to God must believe that he exists and that he rewards those who seek him”.
Principle 28 – we acknowledge the facts and dwell in faith.
Strength – Belief – Passionate, Steadfast, Altruistic, Family-orientated, Ethical, and Responsible. You know where you stand.
