II Kings 19:17 “Truly, O Lord, the kings of Assyria have laid waste the nations and their lands”.

Hezekiah is praying to God, he has initially recognized who God is in his prayer – then he has asked God to be fully aware of what is happening. Now, next, he acknowledges the facts of the situation he is facing. I love that!

Faith is not the denial of the facts, rather it is believing that God is not limited by the facts. Telling God the facts about the problems facing him was not a lack of faith, it was in fact a way to inspire his faith.

What challenges are you facing today? When you pray, remind yourself of who God is, tell God about the situation, and tell Him the facts that face you – maybe the doctor’s report, the bank statement, or the neighbor’s threats………

The Bible is full of stories of people who came to Jesus with the facts about their situations, and as a result of their conversation (prayer) with Jesus, their faith was lifted.

When I pray about a challenge it could maybe begin something like this….”Father, you are in heaven above everything that you made, your power is indisputable, your abilities are undeniable, and your nature is unfathomable. Father, I am bringing my story to you this morning in humility and confidence, asking that you would hear everything I say and see the entirety of the situations I am facing………..

We will continue this thought next week as well!

Principle of Change 58 – it’s so helpful to tell God all the facts of what we are facing when we pray about a challenge.

Strength – Deliberative – we see every obstacle and take great care with our choices.
